muscle testing - how to muscle test

Have you ever experienced the feeling of being drawn to something? It could be an oil. It could be food. It could be a trinket in an antique shop … but something in your mind says “I must have this.”

That’s intuition.

intuition

And you can use intuition to your advantage when trying to decide which oil you need for a certain health issue … right down to how many drops you need. If that resonates with you in any way, read on!

What is intuition?

in·tu·i·tion noun \ˌin-tü-ˈi-shən, -tyü-\

: a natural ability or power that makes it possible to know something without any proof or evidence : a feeling that guides a person to act a certain way without fully understanding why

: something that is known or understood without proof or evidence

~ Merriam-Webster

Does everyone have intuition?

Yes, we all have inbuilt intuition. For some it comes more easily. Some of us have to work at it. Some of us need to pay attention to cues we receive from the universe, and some seem to seep intuition from their pores.

How would intuition help me choose an oil?

Your body is naturally intuitive, thanks to its energy. We can test this energy using muscle testing or Kinesiology, and there are various methods you can try. You just choose the method that works best for you – it’s all about resisting pressure, and you don’t need any special tools. In fact, you don’t need anything except your own body!

How does Kinesiology work?

our bodies are made of energyBear with me while we deviate for a little science lesson!

The human body is a mass of energy, and every cell contains its own energy, which it uses to communicate with other cells in the body. The brain communicates with the rest of the body through the nervous system using electrical impulses.

Every communication, exposure, and experience the body has – excluding those while under anesthesia – is recorded and stored by the brain. Whether physical, emotional, biochemical, or electromagnetic stimuli, the brain is continuously processing, responding, and recording. The response to a stimulus is based on the benefit or detriment the specific exposure has to the body. If an experience or exposure is in contradiction with the body’s natural energy field, this experience or exposure will negatively impact the system causing dysfunction and putting the entire body into a state of weakness. If an experience or exposure does not conflict with the body, there is no disruption to the system and the body will maintain normal function. The following videos will explain these responses.

The various methods of muscle testing

The circuit method is explained very well in this video:

My preferred method is the sway test also known as the Indian method:

And the third method is for testing others,  it is the basic arm method

How will muscle testing help me choose which oil to use?

Whichever method you use to test, whether it be the circuit method, arm method, or the sway test, the first thing to do is to test your method with some set up statements. I usually start with something way out there like “My name is Mickey Mouse” (which gives a negative response), then “My name is Vikki” (resulting in a positive response.)

Now you know your body’s electrical system is working, let’s get down to specifics!

Say, for example, I have a stuffy nose and I’m not sure which oil to use, how to use it, or how much to use. Remembering that my questions should be able to elicit a yes or a no response, I would pick up a bottle of oil and make the statement:

“This oil will help me breathe more easily.”

If I get a positive response, I know that is the oil to use. If the response is negative, I continue testing until I find the right oil.

I then state “I need to diffuse this oil”, or “I need to inhale this oil”, or “I need to apply this oil topically” – until I get a positive response.

I can find out how much I need to use by stating “I need one drop”, “I need two drops”, and so on until I get a positive response.

You can go as deep as you like with this testing. I often state “I also need another oil” to see if I need to add another layer to my application, and I’ve come up with some great blends that way!

Comments

  1. Every time I muscle test for oils I always get a positive response for every oil, number drops, method of use. What am I doing wrong? It seems as tho I need every oil in an infinite amount.
