And it’s a terrible disease for anyone to have. This is especially true in the case of juvenile arthritis – because it means that you have to live with it for so many more years.

For adults, we have always recommended a vitamin and supplement regime as just one of those things you do every day to support your health, and it supports the body in a way that keeps inflammation to a minimum. You can also apply a soothing blend of essential oils to any pain site – a blend of Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Helichrysum always hits the spot for me!

This is perfect for arthritis sufferers! I suffer from arthritis in my lower back, and I have been pain-free for the three years I’ve been sticking to a regime of vitamins and supplements, and the soothing blend.

Arthritis in children

But when it comes to children with Juvenile Arthritis – it hasn’t always been possible to get them to take all these capsules – and so it was recommended to break them up, put them in juice, on food, whatever.

Parents have also noted that their children also get great pain relief from using the soothing blend of oils in a fragrance-free lotion base. As with adults, just rub this into the pain site and feel the relief.

Wintergreen is a hot oil. Never apply Wintergreen directly to the skin, always use a carrier oil or a lotion. It’s especially effective  against arthritis pain, neuralgia, and even cramps. It’s anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties pack that one-two punch you need when dealing with joint pain.

Tip: Wintergreen is also great for rotator cuff issues and frozen shoulder. Just don’t forget to dilute!!
