Fade scars with essential oils

how to fade scars with essential oilsMy daughter has really dry skin. And because she is biracial, when she scars, the scars are dark.

The dry skin problem causes incessant itching which, in turn, causes scarring – and her arms look like someone stubbed out a hundred cigarettes on them.

Research led me to find out that others had experienced great success using an anti-aging blend of essential oils to reduce scarring, so that’s what I tried on her arms.

I was blown away with the rate at which the scars faded, AND with the amount of fading!

What’s in the anti-aging blend?

Is it any wonder that this works so well! It is a proprietary blend of:

  • Frankincense – calms inflammatory response.
  • Sandalwood –  contains free-radical fighting antioxidants.
  • Lavender – promotes tissue renewal.
  • Myrrh – supports tissue repair.
  • Helichrysum – calms and renews.
  • Rose – supports skin’s elasticity.

All that goodness in one rollerball!

Other ways to fade scars

A friend had a keloid scar under her arm from surgery that was positioned just where her bra fitted, and was often irritated by the rubbing. She had great success from applying Frankincense essential oil, and now has no discomfort at all in the scar area.

  1. Want to fade a cosmetic ink tattoo from an eyeliner botch job

    • I would warn against trying essential oils for that, Kendall. Oils should never be applied anywhere close to your eyes!

I’m really not sure what to suggest, maybe other readers may have some idea.
